Megaman ZX Revive Chapter 42

We reach the lab and Ciel told me to lay down on the bed while Drikat should lay down on the table.

I nodded and convinced Drikat to listen.

After a few minutes of arguments he jumped on the table, while I laid down.

Ciel attached on us several cables. She even carefully removed some of my synthetic skin to reveal some sort of computer connection and them up to her computer.

With Drikat, on the other hand, she needed some time to find the connection and he wasn't helpful in finding them…

After she wired us up, she sat down on her computer and began to type.

I turned my head to see what she was doing. On the monitor are diagrams, technical details and parts of my blueprints to see. But I was unable to tell what the information said.

Then she activated a second monitor and the same thing happened for Drikat. But now appears data on the screen, I never saw in any form. Now I was totally lost. To know what was going on, I had to sit on these monitors and analyze the data on my own.

At least a gasp from Ciel let me know that here was something that she either shocks or she didn't aspected.

Then she typed something and on the monitors appears something like a movie. I recognize these pictures and shouted "Hey! Why are you looking in my memory section?"

She turned around and replied "Because I have to know something and this is going faster then asking you…"

Then she turned back and watched.

She skipped at least most of the memory files. She seems to be only interested to the latest files. She watched the fight against Model R users, the memory where Drikat was formed to a Dragoloid and finally the fight against Aeolus.

Then she looked through some data from Drikat and turned to us.

"If I had imaged how far the CBE System would go to ensure your survival I would have installed some restrictions…"

I wondered "What do you mean?"

"By your fight against Schilt took the CBE System over your body because it didn't see any chance for other solutions. And then it updated the Model D Battle System with the 'Dragon Invoke System', short DIS. It is a big surprise that it was able to create such a system but it is an incomplete system."

"Why's that?"

"I am not sure how but… the DIS system is able to increase your strength and defense to an incredible level. But here are security protocols missing that should protect your mind. Your personality protocols are not able to handle the energy outcome of this and go wild. That means you become  a beast that only wants to destroy everything that is a threat towards you."

I gulped "Can… you fix it?"

She shook her head "Not by myself… the programming is too complex for me. By the analysis I learned that the CBE System evolved in a sort of… it learned to create more and more complex programming codes until the point that I cannot understand everything. It will take time to analyze it completely and write protocols for your security… and it seems that the CBE System is still in active modus and busy with making another system for Drikat and the Model D System."

I was speechless but to my luck asked Drikat "Can you do at least something that makes sure this DIS system won't activate by itself?"

Ciel thought a bit and nodded "Sure! I can at least write a few protocols that let you be in charge of the activation protocols."

"Then do it please" I requested.

She nodded "I will do my best!" and sat down again.

While she typed on her computer, Drikat and I looked at each other.

We didn't say a word but we knew what the other thought

This is going to be a hell of problem…
